I wonder what would've happened had he not fallen right away. Looked unfortunate.

I thought the same, but  then after seeing it in slow-mo you can see he gets hit in the face.

Wasn't even a big punch, but maybe kimbo has a glass jaw, idk.

he didn't fall.  he ate a fist.  he took a front kick and got hit square on the chin.  he walked straight into it.  pretty bush league

he probably would have been picked apart

while seth petruzelli is not an elite fighter, he's no slouch

this is elitexc.  apart from their women's mma and the borrowed affliction fight (arlovski v. roy nelson--both excellent fighters), it's a pretty "bush-league" (that's pretty harsh.  it's not awful, but it's definitely not one of the better organizations) organization

gsp is fighting bj penn in january.  he's probably top 5 p4p but can't even begin to challenge fedor or anderson silva (probably fedor) for the title

personally.... mma pisses me off.  they think they are the best fighters in the world and think they're all big shit.  most mma fighters have HORRIBLY sloppy techniques... and while they are good fighters, they are SPORTS fighters.

varies A LOT by fighter.  many of them are pretty fucking humble dudes that can grasp the reality of a situation outside of the cage.  some are not...

oh @ TJ Hook:  Jamarcus Russell

which is why I like GSP...his technique is flawless IMO...his kicks are so perfect...and thats in a style of fighting with grappling, which makes kicking pretty dangerous.
@owen: I agree sort of...but then again, I find that doing only one style makes your technique one dimensional, whic is why I plan to get out of Shotokan/Judo one of these days and try something else...but only once I've got my black belt -- meaning I'll have to train more than I do...
