Got paied in KL.
Redbull paied for me and one more to go and have 4 great days in NY.
I didnt need to bring a ball. I asked for the lp to promote myself. I asked for halftime performance. Redbull said no, because of strickt rules with the grass...
You may do what you like... I just Think you should take a minute and Think about it...
500dollars is nothing in sweden, but in most part of the world: its alot...
This kind of shit will make it impossible for guys like palle and Daniel to stay professional...
Do we want freestyle to just be for kids and students?
$500 dollar to me is a lot. When you're in high school the best job you can get is some shitty minimum wage job that pays like $7.25hr.
Truth be told I would do any show for $500, hell I'd do any show for almost any amount of money cause I still live at home with dad and I don't have any bills to pay.
I'll still market myself in a way to get the most outta any performance, but if companies were smarter they'd already know everything I've stated above and could make cutbacks on what they pay.
At the end of the day I don't care if I put someone else out of a job because I did it for cheaper, I only care that I'm happy with whats in my pocket.
wow this is a terrible attitude, it's people like you that will ruin freestyle and make it worthless. You are in a chain reaction don't forget that, so that if you are doing a job undercutting someone by 100 dollars then next year there will be another kid ready to take your price down by 50 dollars and eventually everyone will be doing shows for free.
Fix up and have some respect for freestylers, the sport, the culture and yourself you fucking mong.
It's not a terrible attitude it's fucking life. First of freestyle is freestyle and a show is a show. Don't get the 2 confused.
Freestyle= community.
Show = Business.
Ones for money and one is for the love of the sport.
If you look at this from a business financial standpoint I don't give a fuck who you are I just wanna get paid. You can be my best friend but I'll still fight you tooth and nail to get a performance. This isn't kumbyah where we all hold hands and sing together, it's for money. If you have to step over a few people to get you want, then by god do it. No one got successful being nice. - You want proof? Look at almost any successful business person. This isn't about respect it's about getting paid for a job.
Edit: Also, your chain reaction theory is fucking useless.
Would you rather pay azun $500 for a performance or $300 for one from me?
Use your brain, an employer isn't only looking at the price, they want quality with it. That's why they'd rather pay $1000 for a performance by someone who is highly experienced than a free show from someone who has medium expierence. And I don't see, or think I will ever see, a medium experience freestyler selling themselves for nothing.
Someone with small experience usually doesn't get shows, and does street performances until they get a break.
