Based on this they will select a winner. no one in their right mind would select someone to do a huge lp from one trick. it would still be nice to win a free vacation from doing something that takes 1 minute to do. this is more a competiton for kids than anything else.

Depending on how large the event would be I would do 5 events for $200 each. I am in no way saying we should drop the price of the freestyle market. I would never say that. I'm saying if hypothetically me and you wanted the same gig, and hypothetically we were on the same live performance level; While you might charge $1000 for that event, I might end up charging $700. The difference is $700 may not be a lot to you while it is a lot to me. Hence why I would do it for cheaper. Or let's say I do need the money really bad, I might charge $800 because I know you will not drop your price, so I am guaranteed to get the job.

Also this thought of stealing, it is necessarily true, but that is life. Have you ever heard of companies fighting over contracts? It's the exact same thing All an employer wants is the most efficient thing at the cheapest price.

@Christof, I was speaking of people who fight over live performances, and while I may not have to fight against other freestylers, I do have to fight against other acts. I don't know why you're talking about flying people in?

Speaking of which, my "attitude" as you guys call it,  maybe you guys should read up on Warren Buffet, the Koch brothers, George Soros,  Ray Kroc, and Ross Perot.

edit: The comment about me being a ghetto kid, I grew up in Humboldt park, my dad worked his ass off to get us out of there following the same principals I posted, he took shitty jobs because he needed money and it paid off in the end. Life is better, so maybe I don't need every dime, but every dime counts.

My chain reaction 'theory' isn't a theory it's a fact. You live in USA, if you lived in Europe or the UK then you would know what is happening and how EVERYONE LOSES. That includes you, you cheapen yourself and freestyle for some fast money because you don't care about anyone else, that's selfish and ignorant especially when you are a highly active member of this forum. Wanna pretend that you're ready to undercut everyone here for a 1 day job then please leave.

Also you don't have to talk to us like we don't know about how freestyle as a business works, we know. Me, Azun, Luki and everybody else have probably had more gigs than you've had hot dinners so shut the fuck up and sit down. If you want to act like some entrepreneurial genius with your 'fast money, undercut everyone cause I'm young' attitude and business plan then so be it, but the truth is you're not on the road to making a million from freestyle so once again sit down.

My advice to you is to drop the ruthless aggression bravado over a lousy LP and accept that freestyle as a community and a business can and does co exist, hence why nearly everyone here are friends, infact the more friends you have the more opportunities and performances you are likely to get. So drop the Alan Sugar tough guy crap.

I've never liked the idea of discussing fee's and jobs on the forum because a lot of people make themselves look stupid, you being top of the list.

I never said I'd undercut everyone on this forum either, but if I needed or wanted the money bad enough you'd be sure as fuck I would. Even if I made a living off of freestyle (which I obviously don't,) I'd still undercut you to get paid.

All an employer wants is the most efficient thing at the cheapest price. - That's all it takes to market yourself.

This is why I hate disputing anything that has to do with money with anyone, because you're all too fucking nice. When it comes down to it, you're down to yourself, so you do whatever you have to do ti make a quick buck.

I where at Gothia on the opening cermony 2010 and performed. Well it's really great promotion for you ofc, but I actually got well payed for it aswell, but if they said do it for free or we will get some other fser I would do it cause of the feeling of performing of 52 000 people live on tv and all the promotion. But yeah I would love some freestylers to come to sweden cause every year we have a gothia meeting with a lot of other Swedish guys! =) so goodluck everyone that is competiting!
