With all that being said, I'd just like to add my own opinion on this whole story.
First and foremost, groundmoves ARE a part of freestyle football. This isn't a matter of opinion, it's a FACT. Freestyle came from street soccer, not the other way around. And please, don't even try to start with that shit about the circus jugglers and stuff like that. Just look at when and how freestyle football actually kicked off.
With that said, my opinion is that groundmoves are more of an "accessory", so to speak, than a basis, which will always be: Uppers, Lowers & Sits. For me, groundmoves fall into the same basket as hand moves, acrobatic tricks, etc. - you can add them to your repertoire to bring in more variety, but you can't really use them as a foundation for your freestyle.
