fucking brilliant game!!! barca was absolute class and united was absolute shit. united wanted to score in the first 10 minutes than sit back the rest of the game, and they didn't realize that barca was the team who scored. they still sat back and couldn't even get a hold of the ball. messi proved to be a better player than ronaldo by being a team player, and making the correct decisions on the ball. ronaldo just tried to do things by himself and complained towards the end of the match. funnily enough the only faking i thought i saw was the freekick that united got early in the game. ronaldo put the ball past pique, and forgot about the ball and just ran the other way into pique's body. obvious that he was playing for the foul, and scandalous how he turned away from the ball to run into pique.

i'm sorry but these games couldn't possibly prove which team is domestically better. United has won 3 league titles in a row. 3.

United is clearly better than Chelsea, because if they weren't, then wouldn't Chelsea have won the past 3 titles?

I agree with this and remember Chelsea are much better set up to counter Barca than an Utd in terms of defensive play as they have 2 strikers in the form of Anelka and Drogba who are very much strikers who are good at playing that lone striker role so the rest of the team can sit back whereas Man utd's strikers with the possible exclusion of Berbatov don't really do this and i doubt they'd be able to do it as well as the chelsea strikers.

fuck that.  fuck iniesta.  fuck messi.  this game goes to pique

weird game though.  at times it was almost a reversal of roles with barcelona content to hold back and counter.  united played flat and nemanja vidic had a fucking shocker.  clearly deserved win by barcelona

Actually, I though that Puyol played even better than Pique...he got under Ronaldo's skin like no defender I've ever seen

he shut that shit down

also, Xavi was mind-blowing...he didn't give up the ball once, and that cross to messi was ridiculously accurate

Xavi and Inesta controled the whole match..fast passing quick desicisons which man you lacked, man u got the ball and there passing was so bad, i think i was watchin a kickball match on man u's side :dontknow: but iv always been a barca fan so that my team and allways will be, the defence line did a great job to isolate rooney..we did not see much of wayne during the match..not only was barcas defence class but questionable before the match which shows barcas manager is class and deff knows what he is doing...man u on the other hand was only good to watch for the first five mins lol...defence for man u sucked and ronaldo the cry baby that he is could not score lol and park how can the korean miss from 6yards :dontknow: park in my eyes is nothing special i dont see what alex sees in park hes not the worst out there but hes just average in my eyes :dontknow:

maybe.  but, i'd rather ronaldo out wide putting balls into a rooney or a tevez than ronaldo inside getting balls to his head.  pique and toure did not give anyone anything inside of the box outside of the first ten-fifteen minutes.  it seemed as if every single ball that went into the box pique got on the end of

how many times has iniesta's name been mentioned in this thread?  pique's?  toure's?  that was a rag-tag defensive unit and one that united "should've" run rampant over.  if anything, eto'o was the one that completely broke united's back.

the first 10-15 minutes?

no.  there were times that barca would spread the ball around for 40-50 passes, but those were few and far between, and the overall poss. stat for the game was completely unlike a "normal" barca match (28ish mins. poss v. 37ish mins regularly), even against manchester united (like 70-30 last year.  51-49 this year).  although, "hold back and counter" was a bit extreme.  i was surprised at how well they were put together across the field (versus the previous few games against english comp.).

eto'o..completley broke united's back

who passed it to him :dontknow:

iniesta pressed so much in this game and coupled with xavi and messi, "passed" united's midfield off the park. eto'o played the true strikers roll, scored a crucial goal, and was minimal the rest of the game.

do you realize that united's midfield was outplayed so badly, that ferdinand, oshea and vidic were united's leaders for passes complete?

by the way, no "normal" game is played when you face Manchester United.
