I expected a much better game from both teams. Great goal for Madrid but the overall game just wasn't as good as it's been over the past few years.

I cant wait to see roma defeated:D did you know that madrid players will get a 900 000euro bonus/player if they can win the league, the champions league and copa del rey? i know its not much for them, but its a nice sum of money:D

Money shouldn't make a player want to win. I promise you that a player like Raul would take no salary and still play.

i didnt say they only do it for that. i dont think some really poor guys do it for that, they just simply have nothing else to do. sons of millionairs dont do it for money. they do it because they can. raul doesnt play for money. he just dont need it. he has enough i think:D but what can they promise them for winning??heh? and i just wanted to share this news with you.

Maybe it shouldn't but it does. Not all players, but many are inspired by collective win bonuses.

Quote
while Joe McKnight, who came to Los Angeles from River Ridge, La., last year, ran for 125 yards and one touchdown.

While Booty closed the chapter on his roller-coaster career at USC, McKnight gave the country a glimpse of what it can expect to see the next two years. If his eye black is any indication, he probably won't be around after that.

"I'm trying to get money," said McKnight, pointing at his eye black, which had "I need" under the left eye and "$" under the right one. "I'm trying to get to the league. I'm just a poor college student from New Orleans right now."

Good illustration of "playing for money (and its motivational aspect)."

Zaragoza is always a tough team to beat. Should be a one goal game.
