Beckham was very good during the end of last year. Remember his performances for Real Madrid? He was also brilliant for England when he got called up. He set up goals in as many games as he played.

I know he's not at the peak of his career, but the guy still has so much to offer. I think he would play at the same level as he played for Madrid at the end of his career. The guy knows everyone is against him and that's exactly when he plays his best. He's got too much heart, passion, and skill not to be good enough.

He's at least a good sub and leader for the team. Hell, he can even start on the right wing. Who even plays there for England?

I think Jenas played there, and apparently he did really well. Many people are tipping him off to be really good in the future.

As for Beckham, I think he should have played, it's a friendly, let him play. I mean he was so good against Croatia, he was the one that actually wanted to win. And that fantastic cross against Brazil, .. like you said, he's got too much heart and skill to be excluded.

Anyone know when Terry is coming back?

I wonder if it'll be..

Brown..Terry..Ferdinand..A.Cole

Jenas is very average. Not much you can say about Jenas to keep Beckham at home.

Jenas is a very typical, boring English player. At least he did well yesterday. Doubt he's a gem of a player though.

i reckon beckham is a good sub.
he should have been name because you mite need a player like him in the match.
i will agree with moby that beckham is not the player he was.capello made the right decision, most managers would have beckham in the squad so he could achieve his century.he mite have been good on the bench but then again u could see where capello is coming from.
and an even better reserve

Hmm, so his hat-trick against Bolton last year was just luck? And his other couple against Bolton again was just luck? Please. Ronaldo and Rooney thrashed your team.
