Dream Theatre beginnings are good, but then the rest of the song always sucks

it's just super technical, super pretentious music

they're clasically trained and feel the need to throw it around all over the fucking place

yea a;sdlfkjas;df is right, also the fact that they change constantly on scales so its weird sometimes  not like in rock were they stay only in one scale usually penatonics scales , but in their recent albums they change their style of playing to more metal becouse thats wat ppl like this days
