I like some Malmsteen, Vai, and Buckethead, but often the skill is incredible but it's sometimes just not good music. It's like someone saying 'look at me I'm good at guitar' but not making such good art. All of them have some good songs, though.

yea i love to shred its so much fun,but yea i understand wat you mean not alot of ppl like that type of music that is intrumental but yea the reason i like those guitarist buckethead,cesar huesca,etc...becouse they can play all kinds of chops not just one genre but i guess my favorite all the time its buckethead he actually gave me a mask on his concert   hehe his a sick guitarist,wat type of guitar u have?

I like the classical part, but then they fuse it with the metal power chord progression and it sounds retarded...if you wanna go progressive, you've got to still make music that can be listened to
