I'm sorry totalfootball, but whether Rooney is your cup of tea or not you cannot make comments such as Elite. Am I the only one on here who thinks this? Come on guys, lets stop being so nice here. Forums are for debate, and difference of opinion but everybody on here needs a decent level of understanding of the game. I can't understand how someone can come up with such ridiculous comments. Imagine this Elite lad in a room with the top people in the game saying these things, they would just laugh at him. Some people just want to be a bit different and have outrageous views but there does need to be a grain of truth in it.

Elite, how can you watch a Man.Utd game and not see that Rooney has a fantastic touch? Do you watch the game? I'm lost for words on this.

Moby, do you realise what you have written here? You can name thousands better than him? I'm sure Alex Ferguson would spend 30m pounds on an 18 year old that had a thousand players better than him. Ok lets break this down shall we:

Do you think he has a good touch?
Do you think he has good vision?
Do you think he has a good ping?
Does he have good strength and speed?

I am interested in your answers to these, because if you say no to any of them then I think you should stop watching football as you have no appreciation of it.

good ping? if that means accuracy yes
good strength and speed? strength yes because he is fat spped no!

I think his touch is alright. I used to think it was better but after watching him this season, it doesn't seem to be so special. This is especially true when he comes back into the midfield to get the ball. Too often his first touch lets him down especially if he has a man right on him. I'm not sure if it's necessarily his touch or his uncertainty on where to go next with his first touch. Up front, he's much smoother with his touches.

its is common knowledge that i dont like man u and all thier players but you have to be respectful of the players. Rooney does not suck mind you he is one of the hardest workers in the premiership which is saying a lot and he has shown great vision and skill which is why he is at a big club. he was the leading scorer at euro 2004 and was injured the last few games. and to score goals you have to be good at more than just shooting. go to youtube
