Comparing cycling to Hitler is absolutely ridiculous. Hitler's actions directly effected my family as well. My Grandfather fought in WWII. Even if that wasn't the case, comparing the two things is completely ridiculous. It's cycling for crying out loud.

Yes, he lied. Come on man. You are lied to everyday in things that effect you much more. Hell, most of the lies were aimed towards people accusing him of doping. Also, on the doping issue. I don't find him any different than any other athlete that has doped and lied about it. Him being the more successful and famous athlete doesn't make him a worse person for it.

Last time I checked, he is facing several lawsuits himself, so I wouldn't consider these people innocents.

Isn't it bad enough that he's lost all his sponsorships, titles, and his name has been dragged through the mud? Dude, he's still a human being. Even if he's scum, after a while we should just let him be. All of these companies that hate him and are suing him now are hypocritical in my opinion, because they made millions off him before he got caught.
You ignored the biggest points I was trying to make and concentrated on nothing.
Empathy was one. The other was the flaw in the logic that if it doesn't effect you directly, it doesn't matter to you and you shouldn't care.
The level of the lie wasn't even taken into account. "Hey, how's it going?" (lie)"Good thanks." Fucking bitch, that directly effects me. Don't lie to me, you're costing my company millions of dollars..

You do realize how many cyclist before, during, and after his career ended have tested positive for banned substances. For the most part, no one cares about them, because they didn't win or weren't as successful as Armstrong. It's a rampant problem in cycling, and people are using Armstrong as a scapegoat. They are putting all the blame on him, because he was the most successful cyclist.

I still don't see any reason why I should hate him for it.

They put the blame on him because he had an extremely professional system for years. Other cyclists are just small fish, Armstrong was the kingpin. He lied for years by corrupting everything, then after they got evidence he lied and lied and lied to all his fans who supported him still, acting like he is a victim and now he thinks admitting something minor will be good. That way he still disrespects all his fans that still stand for him by adding more and more lies to his pile. He starts to look more and more like a complete sociopath.
I'm a beginner, help me!
