UEFA Champions League - Knock Out Phase
« on: Dec 17, 2011, 06:37: AM »

So, there are some news from Nyon.
On Friday the KO round games were drew:

Olympique Lyonnais (FRA) v APOEL FC (CYP)

SSC Napoli (ITA) v Chelsea FC (ENG)

AC Milan (ITA) v Arsenal FC (ENG)

FC Basel 1893 (SUI) v FC Bayern München (GER)

Bayer 04 Leverkusen (GER) v FC Barcelona (ESP)

PFC CSKA Moskva (RUS) v Real Madrid CF (ESP)

FC Zenit St Petersburg (RUS) v SL Benfica (POR)

Olympique de Marseille (FRA) v FC Internazionale Milano (ITA)

First leg matches are scheduled on 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd February 2012.
Second leg matches are scheduled on 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th February 2012.

It is still to early to predict anything, but I'm sure every match will be exciting, especially after the transfer are completed.

I'm a AC Milan fan, so I want them to go through to the next round. :)

The English teams have it hard! I fully expect napoli and ac milan to win those matches. Manutd and mancity out already. Very likely there may be no english teams in the 1/4 finals this season.

When was the last time that happened?!!

Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern and Real Madrid will go through. Don't care 'bout others.

I made this a sticky.  Let me know if you want it un-stickied.

Boring draw really.  Only Napoli and AC Milan games will be good.

Europa Cup has some decent draws.

Basel - Bayern Munich 1:0 !    Switzerland  :Woot_Emoticon:

Basel played well, 1:0 is acually deserved, a little luck maybe, but still well done. Result is great of course, giving Bayern no away goal. I'd say the chances to go to the next round are 50-50 now.

this is really the season for upsets! inter and bayern lost and r.madrid drew 1-1. Madrid will play better at the bernabeu, i promise :great:

No surprise though to see arsenal and chelsea get destroyed.

Ugh, crap performance by Bayern.  We just don't look the same without Schweinsteiger, and Robben has been too predicatble on the right lately.

Credit to Basel... well played game.  Either team could've won.
