Barcelona-Leverkusen 7-1  wow Messi was simply outstanding yesterday!
Congrats to APOEL for winning Lyon and went through to next phase.

APOEL keeper was sensational in the PKs.

Messi is out of this world... he makes other top players look like amateurs.  I'll go on record and say that he is already the greatest player to ever play the game.  I know he hasn't won a World Cup but he's still the greatest ever.  Hopefully that World Cup comes for him so he has no arguements against him.

Maradona and Pele did great things internationally but the international game has somewhat changed.  Club football is more important nowadays, and while Messi hasn't won internationally, he has definitly out-done Pele and Maradona on club level.  You can always make that arguement.

Apoel's keeper (Chiotis) is under-rated,i hope now he will get the chance for greek nation team in euro12.
With these 5 goals Messis touched 12 goals in the comp like Nistelrooy did in 2003.Hes gonna make a new record.
So if Barca goes to final Messi will have 5 games to score and set a new record, wow!!
Messi is maybe the best player i have ever seen since i watch football.

I can't think of anyone else that comes closed.  Maybe Ronaldo during his brief spell at Barcelona.  He was great but went down and never recovered after those injuries.

Maybe Cristiano at times, but Messi is still greater.  Zidane was special at times but never as great as Messi on a constistant basis.

i think if ronaldinho continued his good form with barcelona he would be considered the greatest ever player. Probably he would be higher rated than messi is now if he didnt party so hard and get fat.

I never saw pele or maradona play so i cant compare messi to them, but messi is the best i have ever seen. Unstoppable!
forget Ronaldinho....only one deserves the -inho suffix......Jabarinho!!!!

Ronaldinho was great for 3 season, but then he completely fell off.  Messi has kept up his greatness for 5 years now and there's no slowing down in sight.

chelsea vs napoli match was an exciting and fast paced match. It was a very even match but chelsea deserved to win. Im very surprised by chelsea's performance.

madrid played decent vs cska moscow but the defending was terrible! Madrid cannot win champions league if they continue to defend like that :021:

Bayern.......wow!! :undecided: They must be one of the favourites. Basel are a good team, but bayern was just amazing!

Bayern is on a roll baby.  I'm very excited to play Bordeux and then Madrid hopefully.  Bayern vs Madrid games are true classics.  Then Barca in Munich...
