I hope the MLS is looking into a system for relegation and promotion. I know it won't happen for another 5 years or so but as soon as it does, it's going to make the whole league much more interesting.

Adi that is impractical. There would have to be WAY more teams, and the shit teams would have to have a fanbase as well. I think that the main thing for now is expanding the fan followings of current teams. The only team that has an ardent following is TFC. And our stadium is too small. North Americans dont have enough of an attention span for a relegation-promotion system. I suggest that the MLS stick to the conference-draft pick system until there is so much expansion that a lower division becomes necessary.

The interesting thing is that A-League teams tend to beat lots of MLS teams in the Open Cup. I think there's competition especially with some of the top A-League teams. The Rochester Rhinos have a bigger fan base than most MLS teams.

I know the league is not ready for it now and maybe it never will be. For relegation and promotion to work properly the league will need to get rid of the American Playoff system. I highly doubt they're interested in such a thing.

some good points in there. But the fact remains that viewwers arent ready for that system. I think its up to the MLS to bring top A League teams into the spotlight and give them a spot in the MLS. The playoff system has no bearing because it only affects the bottom teams in the MLS. The solution would be to abolish the playoffs in the A-League.

That was an entertaining game. Guevarra played awesome. TFC will take over. Did anyone see the fans dropping streamers on the KC players whenever they tried to take corner kicks
