Official MLS Thread

This is for people who want to talk about the MLS. I'll start by saying I think TFC is actually going to make the playoffs this year. They were in great form against Columbus and outplayed the Crew pretty badly. There were just some unlucky finishes there. I predict Houston to make it 3 in a row in the MLS Cup, too.

Haha, but we still lost 2-0.

I'm quite disappointed I couldn't see that match, and the sad thing was, I was standing right outside the stadium for a hockey game, but I saw some TVs showing it.

Anyways, Dichio to be top scorer!

hes gonna be benched, because TFC is getting another striker. Why were you outside BMO? have you ever played in there? Its actually pretty nice.

He's getting benched? He was our best striker last year! Edu is pretty good though.

CBC should be very good for MLS games like they were last year, can't wait, and especially the Beckham game, but I just want to go to BMO field but it's sold out!

OT: I was outside BMO because I was at the Ricoh watching the Marlies. I love how all the stadiums are so close together, perfect place for Olympics!

yeah I tried to get seasons tickets but no luck...me and a couple of guys on my team were gonna pool money together so that we could each (in small groups of course) go to like 5-10 games in the season

I have gone ahead and edited the first post a bit and made this a sticky topic.

It was nice to see LA bounce back and see Beckham score that nice goal. LA and Beckham need to find a way to be one of the best teams this season to help the game grow. LA games are probably going to be the only games to be watched by non-MLS fans in the US. If Beckham can continue to do well and get some interest from the average crowd, it'll do wonders for the league.

LA will get the league recognition, but Houston will keep on winning. Seriously, they have a sick lineup. I think they are good enough for europe

Toronto FC is eligible for the CONCACAF Champion's League or whatever it is.

Has the season officially started? Or just friendlies?

The season has started. I think most teams have already played 2 games.

TFC is on a two game winning streak. They beat Beckham and the Galaxy 3-2, and then took out Real Salt Lake 1-0 (I believe). This is our year! (not really, but it feels good to say it)
