Also, about the world affairs thing, the USA has fucked up a great deal. But are they or are they not more powerful/influential than any other country? Also, I love how every argumentative technique you use is in reality a massive logical flaw (see laws of informal...and even formal, for that matter...logic). I think I see 4 hasty generalizations, a faulty analogy, and a problematical premise in your last post alone. It's almost impressive how you managed to squeeze that many flaws into a few lines.

About the USA not making strides, I just don't see how that argument can hold water when you see players like Altidore coming out of the system. I mean, he's no Messi, but he's a good player, and could be a very good player. For example.

The words I use aren't complex, they just express the points I intend to carry across more effectively than broken English/colloquialisms.
The fact that you even viewed them as 'seemingly complex' reflects badly on you.

it was indeed uofi, and thanks. The place (iowa city) is actually a fucking hotbed of writers, it's crazy...
Yeah I'm starting to realize that. But I'm gonna rail against that rejection a la William Logan, except I'll try not to come off like a hermetic douchebag. It really depresses me sometimes, though...and has been the topic of many a mocking poem I've written
