so if you're saying we should "tell the answer to 1+1" and there is no equal sign given, then obviously there IS NO answer. all that can be done is 1+1 is simplified down to 2, but without a proper question there's no actual answer, just the number two. but then again we also have to take into account the grammatical error of "tell the answer to 1+1" which may or may not be intentional. if it is an intentional grammatical mistake, the problem becomes more complex where as if it's not, then we come back to the "no answer" answer with just the simplification of the term 1+1. supposing the grammatical error was intentional, if we "tell the answer to 1+1" it's as if we're treating the term "1+1" or "2" as a noun. in that case comes into the equation an "invisible problem" which we need to solve, derive an "answer" for, to be able to tell the answer to the term "2". in this case, since the statement was a response to "What part of the plant sprouts roots?", we can figure out the answer to that question first through some research first and foremost. as for telling the answer to "2", or "1+1", a number of interpretations can be derived. you could be telling the answer to two different people, the second poster of this thread, or just this page in general as the topic right now is on its second page, and so on and so forth. but Borg was the one asking the question, and the one who needed the answer. so is there a connection between Borg and the number "2" or the term "1+1"? well Borg has a karma of "2", his full name jeremy borg, including the space, has a total of 11 characters which can be attributed to a duller, more literal rather than mathematical translation of "one and one", AND going further with the "one and one" translation of the term, Borg will graduate from notre dame catholic secondary school in the year of 2011. two thousand and 11.
so can only logically conclude that either there is no actual answer but a simplified form of the term "1+1", or we misconstrued what you were trying to say and was actually looking to see if anybody had an answer for borg.
