for how long?

can some of you guys kindly tell me how long do you all practise freestyle before having enough confidence to attempt taking down the First ever video of ur fs? cos ive jus started 2 mths ago and im tinking of taking down my progress, but do not really have the confidence to accomplish any 'nice' consecutive simple tricks( maybe atw-atw-so on ) on camera, even though i can do it off camera xD thanks

I started freestyle at the end of february and I make my first video yestarday.  :biggrin:

I know what you mean, anytime I think I'm close to getting a new trick or combo, I start filming, and then I can't do nearly as well as I was doing when the camera was off.

I just keep practicing until I am consistent with the trick or combo and then do it in front of the camera after a few tries.  I just have to live with the fact that I probably won't catch my first time of doing a trick or combo on film :nopity:

My first video was only tricks I was consistent with.

 for me it  was 2 months after i started freestyling. i think  every1 has this problem when in front of camera. I think what helps is telling myself if i mess up i can just delete the clip. the less pressure u have on you the better you'll do. or just try to forget that u r filming and leave the cam on record for 20 mins or so. u r bound to get atleast 1 decent clip.

go to where you usually practise, and just leave the camera recording and try to ignore it is there! Just have a normal session and then when you land sumin good it will be on cam!

hmm ok, but can anyone kindly give me a little simple combo that might look nice on camera? so far i can't atw-tatw but only tatw on its own but i can try if it looks nice =) thanks for suggestions !

when you have reached your goals for the next movie.. for example if you want to have an amatw in your first video, then you can make it when you have done it.

Here's what i do
I mean what i started to do 2 days ago =P
I wrote a list of combos i wanna do for my vid
Each day i tell myself, i want to get this clip
I practice for 1-2 hours
First, i warm up for 10 min., then i put the cam and start recording
If i got the clip, i just go back home and put a tick next to the combo or trick on the paper
So be more organised and you can do a really cool video even if you suck ;)
Combo for me =P : atw-cross-tatw or tatw-htw ;)

alright man, thanks im working on it =) sad thing is my camera has some problems( have to use digital cam ) , the battery charger just keeps on charging on and off, have to manually fiddle with it , so i tink at most each time of endless fiddle, i can record 12 mins if im not wrong...
This brings me to the next question, how many of you guys use digital camera to record and edit? Maybe if its possible can i see a link on a freestyle vid thats recorded on digital cam? i would be v thankful and also, how long do u all leave the camera on at one go? haha thanks peace guys!
