Just my opinion, but I do think he reads the game well and will be an overall better play. Nani's basically one dimensional in my opinion.

Im a huge fan of santon as a right/left back myself i like his style, composure on and off the ball

He reads the play very well, plays like an aged veteran and fits in very nicely into Mourinho's system. I also noticed he links up quite nicely with Balotelli on the left

Motta is very talented as well but i havnt watched as much as him

Same, except I'd like to see more results when Santon pushes forward with the ball. I'm sure this will happen in time though, so it's all good.

Sergio Ramos, Capdevila, riise, ashley cole, drenthe, oddo, yp lee, evra, gareth bale. All great attacking defenders. And those are off the top of my head. There are tons more.
