Warming up before freestyle....
« on: Feb 28, 2009, 02:39: AM »
Ummmm, well. After freestyle, my legs hurts, maybe I should warm up, but it takes quite long time and it's annoying. Btw, when you take a (for example) 5 min break, should I warm up again?

Is the pain muscle related?
Fx blesses himself before a patw combo, Tiernan blesses himself before a neck to sole transition.... but hey thats next generation
I was going to be there...but now I'm not going to be there

It's important to warm up. If you don't, the risk of getting a damage is much bigger. The warm up doesn't have to be complicated either. You can do some atw's or something to get warm. Don't try hard things for you. Don't try to hard on the things either, no matter when. I've getting hurt in my legs of some tricks.

Yeah, it is, my calves hurt, it's not something unbearable, but it's quite annoying.

My calves hurt, it's not something very painful, but it hurts quite long time, for a 1-2 days, I'm not sure.

I do about 20 kickups and then, if I'm not ready to do tatw, matw, amatw yet, I just do atw combos. But "Don't try hard things for you. Don't try to hard on the things either, no matter when" does it mean I shouldn't try too hard to do latw? I did the trick few times already, but I can't do it when you ask me to.

-Don't break combos.
-Don't use crossovers to save combos.

Can you do shin kick ups? Thats a good way to get you warmed up, maybe do what LIS said and do around 100 kickups.

For me it sounds like latw is a trick you have to try hard to do. Then it's not a good warm up trick. If you try Latw at the warm-up you'll stretch your muscles unnecesarely. If it's easy for you, then you can do it fine. It was the same for me with tatw: In the summer and early automn, tatw was a trick i often got pain of. I tried it really hard before I had warmed up and i could barely walk for 1 week. Now i can do tatw as warm up without problems.

And 20 kickups is not enough. I have to do about 500 to get really warm, but I don't do kick-ups as a warm-up. I try some short atw-htw combos for like 5-10 minutes and then i move on to harder stuff.
