LATW help!
« on: Feb 14, 2009, 09:33: PM »
Hi guys, recently i'm practising on latws and i know i am closer to accomplishing it. However, one problem i keep having is that at the final revolution i just cant turn my leg in to juggle it back up, so its like doing 1.8 revolutions around the ball. The closest i got was that my big toe prodded the ball and (obviously) got kicked away.
So i'm asking if anybody knows what is the problem? Is it the momentum is wrong, practise sommore or..? Because i am confident i have enough space for my leg to turn in, its just that my body can't seem to make my leg turn in to complete a LATW.
Thanks for any help! :)

you only jump after the first revolution! do the first then it isnt really a jump, consider it more a hop.

Latw i think is more about the timing and height you hit the ball up, than the speed of your legs, so just keep practising your timing and with this practise your legs should just get faster anyway.
I learnt it by not using a ball and just practising the motion, then i did it straight after.

btw, i saw a few vids, some jumped at the 1st 1/2 revolution, not the starting of the 2nd revolution, those are different methods too? o.o

and sorry for trying to be precise, at around which revolution shud my feet be already READY to leave the ground i.e its on tip toe mode, i know its kind of fast, but thanks for any help! :)

When I do latw I jump between the 3/4 of the first revolution and the begining of the second one... It depends on how the ball goes up, etc... there is no exact point where u have to jump.... just jump where u think its more confortable for u...
