I think Ecuabol just lost his reason. He has great skills, but because he has so much potential, he just learning all the stuff in a really short period of time. That can cause boringness and such. May be if he was doing it slow and not being one of the best he would still sticking with it. If anything that can change his mind now, it will be this: "Freestyle is also about the naturalness that you feel with the ball. If you can treat the ball like your friend and not just a thing that you use to freestyle, you will stick with it for longer."
