Life after death after life?

What do you think happens after your body and brain stops functioning and dies? What happens with the conciousness? Will it just disappear, because the brain dies, or do you think it'll be transfered to a new organism/homo sapiens etc. etc.?

Personally I find it more likely that nothing happens when you're dead (because the conciousness is a function in the brain, and when the brain dies the conciousness does too, etc. etc.). I don't know (obviously, no one does). But I want to know what you guys think about this.

It's irrelevant. Just make the most out of this life.

But functionally I think not. Our life after death is dictated by the imprint we make during this life -- what we write, do, and say.

I intend to leave volumes of prose and poetry as a testament to my life. That and the memories of those who knew me.

Either that or be immortalized as a legend through some radically awesome death.  :pimp:

well i think it is actually a practical idea that when you die that you are reborn into another organism without even realizing either of the to organisms existed. the everything just goes blank idea is probably the most realistic idea. its just kind of a depressing way to think of it. i'm not trying to sound offensive to anyone who is religious with this next statement. the most unrealistic idea is probably the idea that your soul goes to a place like heaven, hell, etc.  this just doesn't as probable.  anything could be correct, and we won't ever know really.

i always hoped that we get our concious moved 2 another body without having any rememberance of the past body. it seems stupid but it would be nicer than never existing again. i cant imagine not existing, its just too weird.

Well, what I believe is that you go nowhere.. as if after die, there's nothing of you, cause the brain dies along with our body, and we are all the memories and decissions that we have taken, which are in the brain.. so as I said, we all might go nowhere after dying..

If you don't believe in consequences after death than why do you follow man made rules and laws?; Instead of living fast and dieing young. If I didn't have my religion I would probably be a criminal making major money. Don't fear other men.

Secondly do you think that all these mass murderers, pedophiles and oppressors in this world will just die and be the same as everyone else? How unfair would that be to everyone else that lived good and righteous.

This life isn't a big game.
