Ronaldo out for 9 months!
« on: Feb 14, 2008, 06:05: AM »
Poor Ronaldo. He's messed up some knee ligaments again and it appears he'll be out for 9 months.

I highly doubt he'll be able to come back after that. At least he won't be able to play with AC Milan. Maybe he can give it a run in the MLS or Brazil.

He'll probably head down to Brazil, the MLS wouldn't suit him.

Man, I almost want to cry. Ronaldo has been one of my favorite players ever. He's such a humble guy, and not to mention the best striker of the past few decades. It's so sad he's so injury prone. I feel sorry for him. He was set to have a nice little comback at Milan this year. It was inevitable. RONALDO!!!

I totally agree with you.

If he only hadn't gotten those injuries. I would have loved to see him play in top form through all his years. I have no doubt in my mind that he would be right up there with Pele and Maradona.

The thing with these knee injuries is that once you have it happen once, you are much more prone to getting another knee injury later. Over-compensating for your injured knee tends to be the reason for this. It's really shit!

I'm really hoping he comes back and chooses to continue to play. Maybe coming here to the US would be good for him. I would love it and he would definitely get some love from the people here. Maybe LA Galaxy would be a place he'd be interested in with Becks being here. He would come back from his 9-month set back just in time to start getting in game shape for the next MLS season.

i reckon he will still stay in Milan.
Silvio berlusconi (the president and owner)  and Adriano Gillian(vice president) love ronaldo.berlusconi think he can play for another 5 years.i here at soccernet that there going to give him a new contract.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=508609&cc=3436

if this was any other big club, ronaldo would have been over but the difference with milan is that its a family club.every one is supporting him now.all the players went to is him straight after the match.u still have ex players around the club as officials because once your a Rossoneri. your always a rossoneri.

No surprise there... it's AC Milan. They think every player can play until he's 40.

It's working for them. Even tho it costs them sometimes as the season drags on.
