yeah...thts shit...in sweden the judges were at least freestylers, but now ive heard the judges are gonna be falcao, davis and bebeto, and other judge who is a surprise  :dontknow: ...but tht sucks...if they want to organise a world championship of freestyle then put at least judges who have a knowleadge about freestyle...

so imo the judgement will be a disaster....noob freestylers will pass to final, etc, etc....but its just my theory, I hope im wrong.....

fuckin lucky they get to meet falcao and bebeto and davids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and don't get my post wrong! I think this competition is great for all freestylers! Atleast I got alot of media publicity and it seemed like everyone around here knew about the competition so that means freestyle getting more known which I think is really good. If this competition is held next year aswell maybe they can look back on the previous one and asked competitors what was good/bad and improve the competition.
Fx blesses himself before a patw combo, Tiernan blesses himself before a neck to sole transition.... but hey thats next generation
I was going to be there...but now I'm not going to be there

i think the worse part about the judging is not even the fact that you have freestylers who are friends with some of the judges (like in sweden timo voted for emil not palle) its that the way they seperate each category,

its kinda hard even for a freestyler just to judge one or the other wether its control, style or creativity, cause you always have an overall opinion of each, so imagine someone who doesnt know about fs, maybe just voting for the best overall would be better, and thats probably what happened anyways wether the judges realised it or not...

I don't get it! That's a perfect example that they didn't vote for their "best friend".

“There is nobody in the world better on the ball than these guys. Only the best of the best have made it through the qualification stage to reach the World Finals. Some of the tricks they do are out of my league – if I had a go I’d be travelling home in the back of an ambulance,” commented an impressed football superstar and Red Bull Street Style World Finals judge Edgar Davids ahead of the final showdown.

There is nobody better on the ball???? looks like the organizers REALLY haven't done any research. seriously, a lot of noobs there. Just look at that guy who went busking with Daniel in that video of the red bull fsers on the top of a building. HE'S A F___ING DANCER!!! no control! I have a feeling that guy will like beat Palle if the were in a battle because of the judges' poor choice. ahhh... but whatever. it's a first time for FS to be this big... If they had done research, they should have just invited JK and JF there. would look MUCH more decent.

Lol, in the audio player, murilo's interview, he thinks he's not one of the favorites, around the world, HE IS!!! and lmfao "holy shit"

They say it because of the promotion.... of course they have to say that these are theworlds best freestylers otherwise it wouldnt make sense to call this event the worldchampionchips.

yea i know lol, i just wanted to bring the other aspect of the judging and show that its not always a bad thing you know, it shouldnt be allowed imo, but its not everyone who will choose their friend over at anytime, some can stay neutral if they are willing to

The overall winner will walk away with the coveted Red Bull Street Style winner’s trophy and the first place medal. As well as automatically qualifying to defend his title at the 2010 World Finals in South Africa, the newly-crowned best freestyle baller in the world will have the chance to give wings to his soccer dreams as he spends a week with the talent programme of one of the Red Bull soccer teams in New York, Salzburg or Brazil.

As well as taking home the second-place medal, the runner-up in São Paulo will learn all about a very different sort of freestyle as he takes to the air for a truly spectacular flight with one of the pilots competing in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.

Third place brings with it not only the Red Bull Street Style World Finals bronze medal, but also the chance to hang out with your very own personal Red Bull hero. For example, ballers who like to unwind by catching some waves will have the chance to chill out with American surf legend Robby Naish.
