Kaka is probably the best right now. Don't take anything away from Messi though... he's been absolutely fantastic. Probably just as good as Kaka over the last year. You can't say he's not if you've been watching him play. Too bad he just got injured and will be out for 5 weeks.

Ronaldinho WAS better than Kaka about 2 or 3 years ago. Ronaldinho was unstoppable. He ran the show on his own. Kaka was damn good and right up there, but Dinho was better at that time.

Messi has won nothing with club or country over the last year.

Kaka is a big game player he is their in the big games calling the shots against biggest teams. Dinho failed to show up to the CL final against Arsenal he watched the game from Toures pocket even tho they ended up winning, he didn't give a world player of the year contribution. Ronaldo against AC Milan last year (possibly the biggest game hes ever played) he tried so hard but Kaka pissed on his performance completely out shined him both legs. Thats a true champion.
