for those of you that don't know, down syndrome is trisomy 21 (a form of aneuploidy--a stupid looking word for an abnormal number of chromosomes--in which a person has an extra 21st chromosome).  it's a mild to moderate "mental (it's more than this, but this is all that's immediately relevant)" disability

Its always foul when shit like this happens. If I was with my kid or my little brother and some guy came out of some where and kicked him I would have reacted the same way. Tho I would have felt sorry for him when I found out he is actually ill. But how is anyone supposed to know that.

think he showed restraint not jumping on top of him immediately.  you see it far too often, and that is where the real damage is done.  "kid" with down syndrome "should" (after the hit) have left with no more than a bruised ego

but why should this excuse him completely?  it's very obvious that he's self aware.  this should be all on him (or someone else), not his disorder (you certainly can't blame his disorder.  down syndrome is not also known as the kicking disease.  while this may lead to him being held less accountable, you can't lump it all on the disorder itself).  it's all a question of accountability.  if it isn't his fault, whose is it?

i read the comments on the video and it says somthing about the guy being racist, if that is true then since the down syndrome guy has the IQ of a 7 year old or so, hes not going to think about consequences. therefore, my conclusion is: for being disabled he can be slieghtly excused but for being a racist he deserves 10 more punches and a kick in the groin. muthafuken racist can go fuk dem selfes.
