Beckham set for Milan loan!?
« on: Oct 22, 2008, 04:00: AM »

David Beckham could soon be playing in Serie A for Italian giants AC Milan if the club are successful in a bid to land the Los Angeles Galaxy star on loan. The former England captain is determined to keep his place in the national team and a spell on loan in Europe during the Major League Soccer close season could be beneficial.

I wonder how much truth is behind this.

I can't see why anyone would want him in all honesty.

That would be cool, since the MLS season is coming to an end, but not AC Milan, he might not play a lot if this does happen. I would suggest a smaller club.

Last season he trained with Arsenal to stay fit; this season he will train with Milan. It's probably just a rumor.

I heard Capello wants him to compete in a more competitive league and to stay fit when MLS season ends.

Im not quiet sure to think about this Milan lack a right winger but his style of play could ruin there current good momentum and performances in Serie A.

i read an article on this as well

apparently AC Milan want a superstar team in Milan and they have a gap on the right side of midfield (beckham)

could be intresting

This is different. They want him to play on the first team. They are very closes to signing off on the deal. I really hope it happens, mainly to keep Beckham happy. You know it's tough for him to sit and not play soccer when he can only watch the top teams playing in the Champions League. I think this will give him the best of both worlds.

I can't see why anyone would want him in all honesty.

Don't hate. You know he's still good. Did you watch him come on for England the other week and set up two goals in 10 minutes? The guy still has it in him. I think he'll do wonders for AC Milan. He'd be the perfect guy for them. Beckham will be the most motivated player on that team primarily to prove guys like you wrong.

But I do hate him, I can't stand him he's a t*sser. And yeah he can still cross a ball, but he's too slow and plays more at right back than RM.
And I don't believe he will be that motivated, it's just more money to him.
Moving to US to help improve the game and contribute over there,   no it was to get more money, increase his profile to Hollywood and get to know some famous people and to promote poshs profile/career.

You think he needs to move to Milan for more money? He was getting $250 MILLION in 5 short years with the Galaxy. I'm not so sure he'd need to completely change his lifestyle for money.

To me, Beckham isn't the type of player who plays for money. He just happens to make a shit load. He doesn't forget where he came from, or the fact that he'd been told that he'd never play for England when he was younger. He captained England. Or when he was told he'd never play for Madrid again two years ago; he led them to the La Liga title. Nothing will stand in the way of him if he wants to continue playing for England, and that's all he's trying to do.
