be able to read the game better than anyone.  yell out orders to your defenders and organize them well.  know your positioning and make the correct decisions and you may never even be forced into one diving save the entire match and still keep a clean sheet, unless the opposition does something spectacular.

be a leader.  be the smartest man on the pitch.
to add to that
as a keeper you get to see the full pitch which makes you kinda like a coach you can use your view to help your players coordinate
if theres a man free you can tell your player to drop back and watch out
if your defenders are too back you can tell them to push up and pressure the other team

I play as a full back or side back. Since 2008 I play in an 18+ league. Most of my opponents are between 25 and 35, so they're usually physically stronger than I am. I usually try to predict their next move and use pace to get between them and the ball. They often make a foul this way.

I only use a slide tackle as a last resort. If you miss your slide tackle, big trouble

i'm to be honest a versatile player
i can play keeper (alright at it but not the best at dives)
anywhere in defense (love tackling)
center mid but preferably Defensive mid (where i dribble alot more and like to to be the center of passing, as in when someone is in trouble i call for the pass and give the ball to a free player and always like to be in free space)
can also play striker but not lone striker (even tho i play a Kevin Davies style role when in attack, hold up the bal nicly and release a play out of no where also love shooting)

but i need to work on my fitness (alittle)

If I can give everyone one tip, it would be to get in top shape. If your fitness is excellent you will outperform most players on the pitch. Most teenagers are too involved in other things to get in shape. They don't see the benefit in running 2 miles every day when they can hang out with friends, play on video games, chase girl, or drink. This is where the successful soccer players break away from those that will never make it past the high school or club level. If you just go out and run on a regular basis to stay fit, you will be far ahead of most young players.
The average age of my team is 19 years. The average age of the teams we play is between 25 and 30 I think. But we usually win matches because we are much more in shape than our opponents.

i can play wide on the wings for midfield, in the middle of midfield, as a stopper/sweeper/CB in the defence, and as a wingback in a dani Alves position type

i usually play the alves/clichy/lahm role
