BEST IN CANADA?????
« on: Sep 29, 2008, 03:34: AM »
hey, i was wondering out of all the freestylers in canada that you guys know of, or seen, who would be the best?
for example here are freestyleres ive seen or know of that you guys can choose from: Alex, jonathonhehu, serbianfreestyle, stefan, kantcho, edward yoon, totalfootball10, Carlos, Chakour, Joseph Pla, D.FOX, Avalos, Kalviniho,Casper, steve eli, dennis thompson, jaziniho, patrick etc. :), in different catagories such as: Lower, Upper, Sitdowns, or all Rounder.

and also who do you think has the best style?

Interesting question.
Avalos on lower that's no doubt anyone who questions it is a retard.
Sitdowns I believe I've only seen the little polish kid Jonathan
Upper no bloody idea
Fx blesses himself before a patw combo, Tiernan blesses himself before a neck to sole transition.... but hey thats next generation
I was going to be there...but now I'm not going to be there

I think the most enjoyable fser in CA is big Chakour. Interesting choice of tricks makes the combos look wickid. That's the shit!

hmm i'm not sure... but lowers is defs avalos.  or maybe alex, if my memory serves me correctly i've seen some videos of him (i think it was him) doing some ultra crazy lower combos.

uppers i'm not sure, but i know i could hang with the best in canada for ups.  i won't say that i'm the best tho, but if others think so it's cool.

that d fresh guy looks great on sits.  awesome tricks... just his style is a bit shaky.

but besides all the air stuff, i know i can take on the best of them in grounds and panna matches.

the top canadians tho would probably be, avalos, alex, george chakour. steve elias unless i'm forgettin someone.

hmmm he is?  well i dunno i haven't been following "the scene" too intently.

but i shud mention to everyone... sometimes who you THINK are the best aren't actually the best.  don't let the internet fool you.  be smarter than that.  there are lots of great freestylers that don't even visit forums or put out videos... they only watch and practice and do LP's.  there is more to freestyle than crazy lower combos which only involves moves that has ur legs spinning around the ball in different ways.  there is a lot more to freestyle than even being technically the best skilled freestyler there is.

be careful before u make up ur mind too quickly.

haha damn straight i have.... lol

well i haven't met too many freestylers so far.  i've met a lot of really shitty local talent, i've met kantcho and emil, a recently discovered talent by the name of pablo villalta in vancouver, and i've met steve elias.

kantcho used to be good with lowers, but he hasn't practiced in 2 years so he's really out of form.  he's never really done too much upz or sits either.  and emil has never really actually freestyled according to kantcho... haha.

pablo is a good freestyler.  he's got some good lower moves as well as upper moves, and he can do some sitdowns.  he's not as good as others out on the east half of canada, but he's got skills.

steve elias is surprisingly good actually.  u'd never expect it but he's got moves no1's seen before.  he just doesn't make videos.

yeah very good post I've seen some guys perform live and some really bring out other sides to thier frestyle. yeah and be a good showman is just as important as skill
