One of my ideas is if a players intenionly hurt someone like so they should be banned Untill the player regains fully fittness.

That wasn't intentional (from what I saw). His ban should have been more, but it wasn't intentional; he didn't calculate and see that he was going to break the ankle, nor did he want to. He sincerely apologized, and I actually felt bad for him. It was just a mistimed challange that resulted in catastrophie. Guthrie couldn't care less what happened to that leg, which is why he nailed it. It wasn't even a challange on the ball.

This reminds me of Barton's come back this season. Did anyone see his first tackle when he came on against Arsenal? He got the ball but damn did he go in hard against Nasri. Then he had the nerve to smile about it.
