My first goes in photosupermarket, for my college coursework had to do a magazine, sput did the cover for me (thanks) and i did the inside, what ya think?

the first image:
not much of a sense of design. the divisions in the sections look somewhat random and not planned out and the little pic of nam in the corner seems out of place and looks like it was just stuck on in the last minute without much thought. but the main problem imo of this design is the way it's divided up into sections and in many spots the words are too close to touching the lines and creates tension in the composition.
second image:
much better, and the way the lines divide up the text makes more sense in this composition. i like the nam the man text and the arrow down to show his picture, and the general composition is organized in a nice, cool way i think. however, the tiny picture of nam in the yellow shirt is unnecessary and distracting. also, the whole shit load of monta logos laid out across the whole left side of the page... it's tacky. maybe you could create more depth with a play on opacity setting and overlaps and size changes... and maybe none of them should be at 100% opacity because that takes a lot of emphasis away from the main text "nam the man" which you want ppl to look at first. and lastly, the big nam the man picture should've been cut better. blow the image up real big and use the polygonal lasso tool at about.... 5 pxl feather settings (depending on how big the image is of course) and have patience and go over all the little bits on the outline of what u wanna cut out. or... cut it out much more roughly but put the feather settings much higher so there's a much smoother transitions between the image and the background.
