Its obvious that everyone will say country because they aren't put under the amount of pressure that the players sustain by club you probably would get different answers

how about if the question would be asked in this fashion.
Imagine you player for a big club (filled with injuries) in the finals of the CL and your country (of the same stature) needed you for a qualifier game to the world cup who would  you choose?

I could never see that happening, but if it were possible I'd choose CL final ofcourse.

Hmm, that's really hard, but I'd still say CL final. There are tons of qualifiers.

I've changed my mind.. I'd say Qualifiers because it's tough with a little country to get an opportunity like that again..

I'd play in neither and say that I loved both my club and my country too much to choose one over the other. The media would love that.

why would I retire? the fans would still love me, and I would be at the top of my game. Alternately, I could fake injury...
