i think this will effect the England National squad the most
seeing that alot of foreigners will play their trade at the EPL good for the league yeah but what about the youth squad the players won't get much chances
for example if Man City sign Kaka, Buffon etc
player like Micheal Johnson won't get to play and Man City have produced many good players eg. Ireland, Richards, Hart, Onuoa, Stugride etc
Its over for the NATIONAL squad if all the teams have foreign players

as you can see the top countries that continuously preform are those that have majority of their top division filled with players of their country
example: Brazil; the league is mainly Brazilian players and look at the players they produce, same with Argentina, Spain, Itay, Germany, Holland.

Soon you'll see England without upto 3 British starter in any team in the EPL and no British coaches, no owners and even the league changes names the possibilities are endless

It's funny how this only affects England; all other national teams seem to be doing fine with thier player developments

not its pretty funny. I'm saying this while sitting in Canada, watching my soccer team be shit because of an imported lob-and-run style of soccer that originated in Britain and was only changed by the influx of foreign talent.

Germany had a huge developmental problem until recently. The league started buying up foreign players and the national team relied too much on the liked of Klinsmann, Muller, Mattheus, Sammer, Bierhoff, etc. There was not enough youth development to make up for the start players when they leave. That's why Germany struggled so much to find talent.

Now there are plenty of young German players who are looking promising. England has some good youth as well, but once the likes of Gerrard, Lampard, Terry, Ferdinand, etc. leave there might be a gap especially if the young players are not getting the chance to develop at club level. It's a real issue that needs to be addressed.

He's talking about the national team, not the club teams. Foreign investors have nothing to do with national teams.

i totally agree i'm not 100% english but i totally agreee about foreign players playing in clubs in england and its forcing english players and youngters because clubs can just get a foreign player better then the current english youth player in less then 10 mins if they want to.

it's a dog eat dog world, only the strong survive. from a business and coaching standpoint, why use a youth player when you can get a better player? clubs don't care about national teams, nor should they.
