I think I got it anyways.

You and two others. So 3.

3 people = 12 f&d

1st day =  9 f&d left (3 each)

1 carrier goes back, but gives 2 of his f&d to the other two. So they each have 4, he has 1 left for journey back.

2nd day = 6 f&d (3 each)

The carrier goes back, but gives 1 of of his f&d to me (you). So I have 4, he has 2 so he can go back.

Then obv. it's a four day trip with 4 f&d.

Am I right?

both mike and tito gave the correct answer, it's very very easy but you should come on it of course. it was very tricky for me when my father told me this one ;)

new one? okay.

you have several fuses. you know that for one fuse it takes exactly one hour to burn completely. but it doesn't burn at a regular speed, for example the first half could be gone in 5 minutes and the rest would take 55 minutes. it's just random but all burn one hour. how can you measure exactly 45 minutes?

every time I read your riddles, I think like "that's impossible". But then when I see the answer, I think it's easier than I thought ;)
