if TF10's answer is correct i have another one (yes, my mind is too full of them)

there's a farmer with 3 sons and 19 cows. one day he dies. the testament says that the oldest shoud get half of the cows, the middle son a quarter and the youngest sun a fifth of the cows. the sons do not know how to solve this, because they want no half cows or something. how do they solve this problem by dividing the cows fairly according to the testament and keeping the cows intact?

and if you already know this one, please do not give me the answer. you can pm me if you want to, but this is a nice one if you never heard it ;)

they need to get 1 more cow, and then divine 20 cows:
to 1st son - 10 cows,
to 2nd - 5,
to 3rd - 4

If they can get one more, then they could just a as likely get rid of an amount of cows.

By getting rid of 19 cows, they would have to split as follow.

first son: 0/10=0
second son: 0/5=0
Third son: 0/4=0

All cows intact.

A freestyler lives in an appartment, on the 11th floor. When he goes freestyling outside, he takes the elevator to leave the building.
Later that day, when he has finished freestyling, he gets in the elevator. If someone else is in the elevator, or if it has been raining, he directly
goes to the 11th floor. If not, he goes to the 7th floor and walks up the other 4 stairs to get to his appartment.
Why is this the case?

Maybe there is more than one solution, but only one is satisfying.

couse this is in poland and he goes to his freestyle friend in the 7th floor, and having fun and later it takes to much time to wait for the elevator so he walks the last 4 stairs to get home faster.
The answer is quite simple when you think of it. The friend freestylers mom don't like dirt in her apartment so he can't stay for fun in bad weather. So in bad weather he must go directly home.


Nothing against poland but there are many freestylers there, so 2 in the same building could actually happen:)

Haha nice creativity Yoacim, but this isn't it ;) I just took a freestyler because this is a freestyle forum. Besides, your theory doesn't explain why he gets to his floor immediately when someone else is in the elevator.

The most logical reason why he does that, as I can see, must be because he's short so he can't reach the 11th floor button (which usually is a little higher up than 7) on his own ... Makes sense to me :dontknow:
When sander wanted to name a freestyler it could be, I thought it had to be something physically about the person that made him do that, so I thought of shortness and came up with this answer. ^_^
