The island

There is a little island with exactly 100 people living on it. One part of those 100 people always tells the truth,
the other part always lies. An explorer came to the island, and asks every single inhabitant about the number
of liars on the island. The first one says: "There is 1 liar on the island.", the second one says: "There are 2 liars
on the island", and so on, until the last one who says: "There are 100 liars living on the island."

How many liars live on the island?

If so, here you go:
