Heres three I quickly found, they easy (well they must be 'cos i got 'em right :biggrin: ) but ohwell

Dead Hard?
Two police offers were investigating a mysterious death.
When they arrived at the scene of the crime they found a room with no windows and the dead man who seemed to have hung himself by a rope from the ceiling.
There was no chair or table that the man may have jumped off.
The only clue was a puddle of water on the floor.

How did the man manage to hang himself?

Riddle of the great escape

Two convicts are locked in a cell.
There is an unbarred window high up in the cell.
No matter if they stand on the bed or one on top of the other they can't reach the window to escape.
They then decide to tunnel out.
However, they give up with the tunnelling because it will take too long.
Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell.

What is his plan?

Until now I just think I got the second one. Theoretically it's impossible to reach the door because you just come half the distance nearer to the door. If you're 1cm in front of it, the next step will be 5mm, then 2.5mm etc. So you will never get to the door? I hope you understand what I mean.

Dig a tunnel and take the dirt from the digginings,pile it on the bed,and prisoner 1 stands on prisnoer 2 who stands on the pile of dirt kept on the bed...??There can be no other way of getting higher with the given hints in the question

Ok...number 3 is either of these....

1: knock out the other inmate put him in the tunnel, when guards come the see him, open the door other inmate runs....

or

2: Dig a tunnel, pile the dirt up to the window, escape through window..

Theoretically, after infinite steps, hes reached the door. But sure, infinitly many steps will take forever to perform, so he won't get there.

But it's an interresting question. If you take 1+1/2+1/4+1/8+1/16... and continue on doing that infinitly many times, you'll get exactly 2. And 0,999... with infinitly many 9's, it's exactly equivalent with 1. So; 1+1/2+1/4+1/8 +1/16...=2 and 0.999...=1. Interresting, no?
