HTW stuff
« on: Aug 25, 2008, 10:07: PM »
hey dudes, ive reached a stage that im quite happy with in freestyle, however my combos need to be improved... i can do all the tricks i would need for combos,  ie latw tatw amatw matw atatw atw htw you get the message, but what really kills me i can only do 3 HTW's in a row and also i find it hard to do the htw-atw motion, my leg isnt fast/strong enough to get the ATW after the htw

does anyone got any tips for multiple HTW's cos when i see ppl doing them, they do it very differently than me, they kind of take small steps forward or something, im not so sure what it is....
any tips wud be nice guys thx

This is my hypothesis: I've heard that it's good to do a little hop when hitting the ball. When the speed is so good that u don't need to jump u should do it anyways. Then it's gonna look like tripping (right word ?). The second hop is so that u come in a better position for take another htw, or a other trick.

Remember i wrote that it's my hypothesis. Hypothesis means that u think that something is gonna be one way based on what u know. Since i can't do consecutive htw's i just write what i think and what tips i've read before.

htw is really hard trick if u try to do it with style

about htw-atw? try to practice like this, do htw-atw then u juggle a bit then again, when u can do like 10 time in row then do just 1 touch between them, htw-atw-touch-htw-atw ect. that's how i learned it, hope it helps.

just keep practicing
the main thing is to keep the ball right in front of you. not to the left or right side. when you're a noob, make a tiny hop after kicking the ball. if you can keep the ball right in front of you, you can do it forever. or else your leg will just fly to the left and right, making it tiring, ugly, and just flippin hard!  :bang:
best way to practice htw is practice one leg at a time. until you find out how to control each leg to properly go around the ball. you have to have that feeling that you have control over the leg. don't let your leg just flop and fly.
I had the same problem too recently.

hmm, if the ball is on front of you, you can't do it firever, becoz it's depends on touch with the ball... you must find the most softly touch, which will take less strength from you...
