Try this for size:

http://www.forbes.com/lifestyle/2007/11/08/murder-city-danger-forbeslife-cx_de_1108murder.html

Top US Murder Cities (yes, it's where i'm at every day)

New Orleans - total murder (162) - murder per 100,000 (37.6)
Newark, NJ- total murder (105) - murder per 100,000 (37.4)
St. Louis- total murder (129) - murder per 100,000 (37.2)
Oakland- total murder (145) - murder per 100,000 (36.4)

Melbourne you can have it for now. Good session, both of you. I've got a lot of work to get down now so no point in spitting at me. (i am admitting melbourne has the better of me)
All you needed to do was throw one more line at me I was going to give up. Looks like you beat me 2 it. Its too late now, Its been written in marble forever.

You're more likely to have your car stolen in Joliette (Quebec) or Winnipeg (Manitoba) than Detroit or Las Vegas - the auto theft capitals of the US.
#
Robbery rates in Winnipeg (Manitoba), Regina and Saskatoon (Saskatchewan) outrank the top 10 robbery-plagued US cities

Detroit is more dangerous, but there are way more crime rates in the places mentioned above.

I see, I see.
The crime rates are higher overall, but the death rates are not. I understand.

Yeah man that's the shit I am talking about, is the most dangerous, not murders, that dont define how hard a city is, but when you made CNN, you know it's nothing to play with cause Oakland cuttys die other places in the Bay, like the shootouts with 500 block and cyprus, that counts as murder counts in SF not in the O. Trust me fool, a lot of people would rather hit up New Orleans then Town Bizz, look at the tourist numbers of Oakland and New Orleans, it's staggering. New Orleans has tons of tourists, it's pretty safe and i been there
