You know the funny thing is that nothing will change. The English are too proud to bring in a coach that will do his own thing. If a coach was to drop Rooney, Gerrard or a Terry for example the pressure on him would be too immense. Thats why other players wont be given a chance. Or at least play more often such as Joe Cole, Bentley, SWP, Lescot, Lita, Sidwell, Lennon, Theo, Johnson, Shorey, Bride ect ect. There is a need for a balance right now too many arrogant show offs and big egos.

Shittiness? England are certainly not the best team in the world but to call us shit is a bit over the top. Too many people are quick to hammer England. I myself feel that England are distinctly average at times but our recent record is not one which is overly poor. Apart from not qualifying for 08 and 94, we have done well recently.

Portugal knocked England out of the last 2 major competitions was in the Quarters at 08 while England failed to even qualify. In recent years Portugal seems to be doing much better than England. You can't hold on to 66 forever.  :booty:

The statements being made are that England are shit. I simply responded to this ludicrous comments with facts. England have done OK in recent tournaments.

Most of the people in this forum are thick and need to NOT WRITE ANYTHING AGAIN (I'm talking to you, melbourne and seal or whatever your name is.) You said that they won world cup '66. Fair enough they did do it, then again Uruguay won in '40 and '52 so we can easily say that they are still an average team.And Denmark won Euro in '92. Not only that but England invented the game............And they still dont know how to play well. And the reason every1 talks about England being the worst most horrible thing ever (jk) is because everyone looks at the EPL and concludes that a country with a strong league SHOULD have a nation that can contend with the best. England cant, because they stuck their heads so far up each other's asses that they fail to realize that other teams are just better than them and that they wont win anything anytime soon

Uruguay won it in 1930 and 1950 to be correct. There was no World Cup in 1940 or 1952...so get your facts straight on that for a start my old mucker. "We invented the game and still don't know how to play well"...interesting statement, how old are you? You write as if you are about 12 years old or something. England have not played well the past couple of years but we have featured prominently at major tournaments and done well over the past few years, we played some great stuff and were unlucky in Euro 04 and also did well in WC 2002 until we played the Brazilians. I can assure you that the English people do not overrate the national team. Yes, there are occasional idiots that do, but for the most part the country heavily criticizes the team and has done since Euro 96/WC 98.
