Following suit, there will be an Arsenal thread here at beyondfootball, where we can all enjoy and celebrate the greatness that is Arsenal  :biggrin:

To begin conversation, it has been reported that Nasri has been signed, a great addition to the midfield. He has been OK during the Euro's, but hopefully the 20 year old will do well, especially since Hleb is being a bitch and wanting out of the club.

Arsene now needs to sign a big player. This has been needed for the past couple of years but he has failed to deliver another player of high quality. What Arsenal needs is another striker and defensive midfield player as well, now that Flamini has left. Eto'o would be a fantastic signing, seeing that Barcelona don't need him anymore. There hasn't been any rumors however, I don't think that will happen. Letting Diarra go was a mistake; now Arsenal could really use him as a defensive midfield player.

Also, Van Persie needs to be let go because of inconsitency and injury problem. He's a fantastic player and is doing great in the Euro, but he is just too injury prone. Mourinho reportedly wants him; Wenger should take the cash and find himself a midfielder (that's not french!)

Nicklas Bendtner is not cutting it at the top level; sure he's had 2 or 3 clutch goals, but other than that he's been poor to be fair. The lineup could be something like

Vera is also coming in from his loan spell. He and walcott can definitely be used in the wide areas. Gilberto hasn't been to great either. He's also unhappy at the club, but the position needs to be filled by either him or a new signing. That spot and the supporting striker are the real weaknesses of the club. And a back up defender would be nice; Senderos is like Pascal Cygan 2 :lol:

As the stories of the great Arsenal unfold, there must be more discussion! I think by the end of next season, however, Arsenal will be dominant, and putting United in thier place:

Helb would be a great loss. I'm sure Nasri won't be a disappointing replacement once he integrates hes been amazing for Marsille.

The loss of Hleb is going to be massive. He and Fabregas ran the team offensively. However, Fabregas has come into his own and i'm sure if partnered with Nasri, will be able to make a great impact in the league again. Rosicky will be fresh off of a season ending injury as well. His presence was greatly missed at the end of this past campaign.  :bang:

Adebayor, Eduardo, Van Persie, Bendtner & Vela, why would you Arsenal need another striker? 
I'd say they need a midfielder or two instead, especially a winger.

I think Fabregas will be even better next season...hes one of my favorite player....why does he have to be on a team I hate? Thats the only reason I'm ever happy when Arsenal wins: if Fabregas plays well. So yeah Arsenal is going to be really good next season, no matter how much I hate to say it.

I say for his age Bendtner is a much better player than Adebayor seeing as Adebayor only was a consistent striker in maybe 3 months this year around Christmas. Eduardo is already back in rehab training with Arsenal. Letting go of RvP would be one of Wenger's stupidest decisions. He's easily Arsenal best striker. Gilberto has never been good, never understood how people see "Talent" that can contain the middle with Fabregas. I say sell Adebayor and Gilberto = good GK and mascherano type of player. Like Rakitic even, seeing as he's a great player for a 20yr old.

I'd have to disagree with everything that you just said.

Bendtner is no where near the quality of Adebayor, sorry. His touch and control is just god awful. He can finish the ball when the opportunity presents itself, but never has been an Arsenal quality player. Every player that plays for Arsenal has a supreme ability to control the ball, and Bendtner has always lacked this.

Letting RVP go would be stupid? He is a great player, but is constantly injured. He's just a burden to the team, always leaving Wenger to have to use a player with lower quality while he waits on van Persie's fitness. Perhaps this season he will stay injury free, but honestly, who could believe that? He will maybe be fit for 15 Premier League games, and his contributions in the Champions League have been little to none.

Gilberto has never been good? Gilberto was one of Arsenal's best players 2 or 3 years ago, whenever he was the subsitute captain for Thierry Henry when he was hurt. Gilberto is a great defensive midfield player; lately, however, he hasn't been as good because of the snub he got for the captaincy and his lack of playing time. I agree with you on the fact that he must be sold.
