I, on the other hand now love Turkey and want them to win the whole tournament.

Dont say it is unlikely either, it was unlikely they would get out of their group, it was very unlikely they would win tonight.

The goalkeeper kicked the ball at 120:58 minutes. One minute of injury time was to be added. This means that he got the ball into a dangerous area 2 seconds before injury time elapsed. Nothing wrong with that. As far as the substitution is concerned, I'm not sure on that one. I do know that the referees don't allow substitutions at all times. The ball usually has to go out for a throw.

Turkey BARELY squeezed that ball into the net. That's what I call luck. You really need that little bit of luck and they've had it this tournament.

Rustu made a bad mistake on the goal and he could've gotten scored on a few other times, but he did well to save Srna's free kick and stop all those penalties.

The game was pretty crap for the first 118 minutes, but the last two minutes made up for all that. :rockit:

I knew Rustu would fuck up for Turkey and when it got to that late in extra time and he had just made 3 good saves I thought hes actually gone a whole game with out making a major mistake. Then Croatia score curtsy of Rustu's stupidity. I thought it was over for Turkey but I could still feel that they where not about to give up and I seen the looks on the Croatians faces it seemed as if they scored they thought it was over some of them where celebrating like the game was over. They had a lapse in concentration and Turkey struck back like they have been doing all along. I knew Croatia where too heart broken to get any sort of result from the penalty shootouts. Bring on ze Germany.

Plus those who are saying the referee helped Turkey out, probably didn't watch the game because he seemed to be helping Croatia out allot more.

As Adi said it was the worst game of this competition before the 2 goals.

About the substitution, Jerko Leko was standing there waiting to come on for about 2 or 3 minutes (he was ready to come on even before the goal) and if there wasn't time for that substitution, that's another  :bs: .
Turkey's goal psychologically killed us and that reflected in the penalty shoot-out.
I hope the Germans make kebabs out of them in the semis, they've had their share of luck for this tournament.   :cheers:

If we were outplayed and beaten 3-0 I honestly would have no problem with that, but to lose like this? That's really hard to take.

The fact is that Turkey rode their luck not just in this game but in the whole tournament. How the fuck else could a team that's now in the semi final was in the lead for just over 8 minutes in the whole fucking tournament?!!

I'm really drained emotionally and physically. That's why I can't be arsed to talk about the ref, the fact that we outplayed them and all that shit now. I guess it doesn't even matter now. I went to a bar this morning and they played the game again and then it really hit me what happened and I just cried my eyes off, I will never ever watch anything from that game.

I don't know what you thought but that was a damn boring game especially being a quarter final. Even if he was subbed on what difference would it really have made. I don't see the point in subbing some one on at during stoppage time, its only purpose is to preserve the lead and disrupt the momentum of the oppression.Its like a legal way of time wasting. I thought the referee was a bastard towards Turkey dishing out yellow cards like that to Turkey side. While some of the Croatia fouls that deserved yellows didn't get any. Now Turkey is with out Arda, Tuncey and another Beltcha I think. Bad enough Volkan is out for 2 games as well. 

Turkey did fantastic seeing as they have the most injuries and suspensions in than any team in the tournament, they are doing the best they can with what ever is available to them. But seems like they only start playing real football when they are behind. They have a great fighting spirit till the final whistle.  Mehmet Aurellio is back next game. Don't know how long Emre is out for. I hope Volkans appeal is accepted because Rustu is a mess.
