I don't like him until he proves other wise. I just can't see him succeeding with Chelsea right now, never liked the mans style. I was hoping for Lipi or Hiddink. But hes got a good managerial team, TenCate and Clarckey (if he stays).  Now I want to see him hold on to Drgoba, Essien and Lampard. And cut the under preforming players like Ben-Haim, Sidwell, Pizzaro, Shevchenko ect.

It's sad because Sidwell was so good at Reading. That was his right place, not Chelsea.

Avram should never have been given the shunt.

He got Chelsea playing some attractive footbal, they came close to winning the Prem when the ey had been written off, they SHOULD have won the CL, they dominated Man Utd from the second half onwards, a Terry slip is all that won them the trophy.

If i'm not mistaken, ten Cate was fired.

If I were a Chelsea fan, I'd be damn excited to have this guy. He's proven on the international level. Why shouldn't he be able to do it at the club level? If anything the international level is tougher to succeed at.

Drogba appears to have cooled the transfer talks. I'm guessing he liked the Scolari move.

I wouldn't be surprised if this brought Ronaldinho to Chelsea. He's won a world cup with Scolari, now it's time to win a treble with him.

I can't see Ronaldinho in a Blue shirt...

As for the appointment, Phil is proven to be a great manager...but Avram Grant should never have been sacked. Look at what the guy did for Chelsea when Mourinho left a dispirited squad off the pace in the Premiership.

It will come back to haunt Roman and his meddlesome ways. Like Ballack getting played as a defensive player (due to his insistence on signing him). wTF? The guy is an attacking force and he gets totally misused.
