I am working on a new Lupe Fiasco website. It's a blog that will have the latest Lupe news and many other things like a biography, photo gallery, music, lyrics, etc. So far, I only have two blog entries, the biography, and pictures done. More will be added over the next few days.

design is 'shit' do something with code and work in photoshop

the banner is pretty awful.  you probably would've done better with a large high resolution picture with some basic editing.  i'd give it a shot if you send me some pictures and colors, or you could go to a graphic design website with a marketplace and see if you can get you one done for cheap (a 15 year old will do something like that for much cheaper than someone who does it for a living).

the green doesn't do well throughout the blog.  the blue doesn't do well with the green. 

overall, i think it's a pretty good idea.  you have a pretty good base.  i just think that certain things, simply put, don't look very nice.

oh yeah, i take it your brother's site did pretty well then?

another thing, google would suggest that you own the number one english language "football freestyle" forum in the world.  have you ever thought about putting a little more into this forum and seeing if you can get some traffic from some of the larger soccer websites; bigsoccer (124k members), etc?

I used a high resolution picture for the top banner. The only thing I added to it are the two pictures on the left. I actually think it's a nice fit.

Yeah, I'm not sure about those colors either. I want to keep the colors a bit bright though because Lupe tends to like them. Food and Liquor had bright colors and it seems to be his theme. I'll try to mess with a few other colors as well. Any suggestions?

The Cristiano Ronaldo website? If so, it's doing alright. He gets about 150 unique visitors a day. I think that might spike during the EURO. We'll see. I also want to start working on a Rihanna and Chris Brown website. They get over 50,000 searches a day on Google. If I can break into the first two pages, it could be very nice.

I would be interested in getting more traffic. Right now we rank #1 for freestyle football forum. We are on the second page for soccer forum, which is pretty good. I don't know how I could get more traffic from Big Soccer. I made a thread about the forum one time a few years ago and it got a few new members. I just don't want to spam. If you know of any ways, please let me know. I'd be very interested. I think this forum is close to becoming a popular place. It just needs a bit more.

How does it look awful? I really thought it was one of the best parts of the designs. It's clean and looks cool. :dontknow:

i know its a pretty cheap tactic, but do as NAS did. if you see new talent (or mediocre talent) on youtube that isnt registered, message them. it seems pretty spammy, but its youtube, people expect it there as opposed to a forum. and tbh its not really spam because this forum is one of the few messages they get that would actually help them. anyway, if they join thatll help spread the word and they might introduce people.
