Flashin lights is dope man. I don't know why you dislike it. You can't expect every rapper to rap about the hood. Kanye is not hood so why should he. I appreciate his different take on rap music. I'd rather have him than these fake ganster rapers. By the way, how come you relate to the hood? Not trying to be rude, but I didn't know you were from the hood or had any connections with it. Just wondering...

Some rappers do it right and some do it wrong. I think Kanye's auto-tune voice is very nice. I like the standard voice but I got the ears for the auto-tune as well.

And don't hate so much on Wayne... he makes almost a new song every day and 8/10 are quality. That says a lot about his talent. He's the most in demand rapper out there. I think he's outdoing Tupac and the amount of songs he made.

I just don't like that bullshit RNB type, watered down rap its wack. It doesn't have to be straight gangster rap I'm not even a fan of hardcore rap. But the thing is I'm not a fan of the T.Is, Lil Waynes, Kanyes and your 50s. The only fresh artists I listen to are Ross, Game and Lupe from time to time. There no use going to go into how anyone can relate to the hood etc its just gonna sound corny.  :biggrin:

I like Kanye his first 2 albums where tight, I also like his recent song Home coming, but then hes got songs like flashing lights that club stuff really annoys me. Then he got songs like Big Brother where he sounds like the biggest Hov stan on earth, I'm just saying hes begining to fall off a little.

tha carter 1-3, the suffix's, the drought; lil wayne made rediculous raps on all of these albums. and i don't like lil wayne because of all of the new stuff he is doing. i date back to callin' me killer, get off tha corner, and the block is hot. please, don't talk like the game and ross are great because they keep it old school; they are fine, but they can stay in the old school while lil wayne takes over the new school. he is the hottest rapper out right now, and he can actually rap, not to mention he shat all over al sharpton on tha carter 3.

he wasn't kidding when he said that after the saints and hornets, all new orleans has left is him. you'd be surprised how lil wayne is percieved around here; he's on presidential status, and i don't think many other rappers represent thier city as hard and well as lil wayne does.


and about kanye; please, kanye is one of the best performers in the game. he's very very creative; he started out giving hova tracks like Hola Hovito, etc. and just gradually evolved into one of the greats in the game right now. i always look forward to listening and seeing kanye's newest shit; his tracks appeal to various people. call it what you want (pop rap or what have you), but mr. west makes good hip hop and fantastic beats, hands down.
