he'd better have been training something else..... like wrestling or jiujitsu for a while.  if he goes to mma with just boxing experience, he won't last half a minute.

No one who has crossed over has not trained in something else.

i've seen boxers that were ONLY boxers that went to mma.  needless to say what the outcome of that was.

but still.... a highly skilled boxer who is great at what he does finds it difficult to transition to mma even with other types of training.  their styles are just set in a certain way they can't really cope with other things as well as some ppl.

Who?

EVERY (I've seen four; don't get on me if there is one that I didn't see) boxer that I've seen make the transition has worked with a MMA gym.  If Floyd decides to try his hand, he will be working with someone respectable like Kimbo Slice has been with Bas Rutten.  This won't be Ray Mercer.

there was a boxer in the first ufc.  he got taken to the ground and without a submission or nething he just gave up.

Ah.

"Art Jimmerson v. Royce Gracie (apparently)."

Any boxer going in recently has trained in some MMA.

What do you train in?

i've done taekwondo (please don't be another person to remind me of how it's not useful in mma.  it can be if you kno how to use it right)
and also hapkido, BJJ

and i haven't trained in but kno a few simple, useful techniques from muay thai and wingchun.  some muay thai techniques help especially in the striking game.  compliments my main training in tkd and hapkido.
