Do you need matw before amatw?
Which is generally learnt first/considered less advance - latw, matw or amatw?

Thank you VERY much for any assistance ! :You_Rock_Emoticon:

I am no lowers expert but I don't think you need matw before you learn amatw. I learnt amatw before I tried matw.

I recently started to play LATW. At the beginning of for a few days, I tried to form an good, quick move with the foot. I think this is important, because when a week ago I tried to do with the ball, it comes to me that trick every time. Also my tip - try to form an foot move without the ball.

I would say you should learn matw before amatw, and I'd say it goes the same for tatw and atatw. Once you get them, you might realize you prefer an alternative to the original, but I think you need to learn the originals first. They are easier to learn in the beginning. I actually prefer amatw to matw now.

As for latw, it's completely different to the other moves you mentioned. Other than it obviously being an atw based trick, it's about as different a skillset as it gets for atw based tricks compared to matw to latw. I would say it really just depends on the individual which is easier.

You made a thread about skipping ropes for LP reasons and you want to learn to do matw now? Do you see freestyle as a means of money or something? Nice goal, good luck with that.

I learnt amatw first and it was with bad style which became difficult to change. Learn matw first so you understand how CO tricks work. Then all the others will come much easier.
