Harlem Shake Freestyle Version
« on: Feb 22, 2013, 06:13: AM »
Harlem Shake videos are taking over!

We should do a freestyle Harlem Shake with one freestyler doing consecutive ATWs at first, then a bunch of other freestylers pop up around him when the beat kicks in and everyone is doing their best combos.

Here are examples if you haven't seen:

Harlem Shake v33 (Portland Edition)
Harlem Shake v5 (CollegeHumor Edition)
UGA Men's Swim & Dive Harlem Shake
Harlem Shake (original army edition)

I hate the Harlem shake. As soon as I started watching the first time I knew it was going to be something incredibly predictable that would happen after I started to hear a build up in the music.
I doubt this would be so popular if YT wasn't filled with 14 year olds screaming 'LOLOLOLO HOW RANDOM AND FUNNY!!111one!".
The freestyle community shouldn't follow suit in such low tier 'comedy' just to gain a some views, it's the uniqueness of freestyle that should make it rise to popularity.

There are a very very few that are kind of funny, but it's not funny cuz it's the Harlem Shake. It's funny, because of the person or group doing it. Now, just like 99% of fads, this is fucking retarded. I have no idea how this got so huge.

lol shut up! I didn't laugh at the first time, second time and third time so it's not like I don't like it because it's popular. I just found it predictable from the get go.

I think the Harlem Shake is not so stupid thing, but now it is a little too much. Just about everything that is. However, as mentioned, interesting to watch.  :)
