And to be fair I think it was a penalty. I mean, he wouldn't go down if the same faul occured on the halfway line but whatever.

Haha.

Come on Mac, I understand he didn't try to injure him, but just look at France, they were just unlucky, and the Italians, well, the luck carried on with them, and knowing Italy they'll go to the semi finals.

yea i agree with the point about that Gomis guy. It's really frustrating to watch that idiot play on the field, acting like he's a world-class player. Not only that but im a big fan of Nasri and Benzema and both can play up front. Not only that but the have more experiance and have proven to be better players. Raymond Domenech should stop putting Gomis on, he hasn't produced anything in 2 games

Why shit on Gomis? It's not his fault the coach told him to play

Gomis was voted the worst player of the last round on Planet Football. Well deserved mate!

France was poor this EURO, but their coach was even poorer. He made some terrible decisions, such as starting Abidal at center back against a much taller and stronger Toni. I realize Thuram didn't play well, but this would be the game for him. He's got a player his size and pace playing against him. Secondly, how do you go from starting Thuram to making him the back-ups back-up?! Benzema should have also played in the second game. Gomis should never have stepped on the field ahead of him or Anelka... let make that clear. Benzema was good today. His first game was bad because he couldn't finish but come on, you gotta give the guy another shot, even if it's subbing him in.

As Mac said, Italy will miss Pirlo greatly. Gatusso will be missed as well but not as much as Pirlo. Pirlo was the creative force for Italy today.

Holland once again looks impressive. Their goals were of quality and they looked dangerous coming forward every time. I just have a feeling that they'll have the same problem that Spain had in 2006. They'll cruise through the group stage and then hit a wall.

Nice posts going on Adi!

I just hope Spain demolish Italy badly.

Holland did great today even with their backup squad, they've got amazing depth and the team today didn't really look like a back up squad anyway. And the important thing about Holland is that they play hard from start to finish and always give their fans extra to chant about at the end of the game.

So if you want to go through to the next round, you have to play shit the first two games, then injure the other team's best player, then get a cheeky penalty and be up a man, then score a fluky deflected free-kick.

Come on! Ribery hurt himself. And what should Italy do, when they got penalty? SCORE!!!!! I have do say that it wasn`t good game what Italy played, but France wasn`t better. Italy used all chances what they got and won.  I hope that they will play better, because they need it for Spain.
